Biogas Plants

A biogas plant is essentially an anaerobic digestor that can treat high organic loading and treat biodegradable waste matter.  During the process, the micro-organisms transform biomass waste into biogas (mainly methane and carbon dioxide) and digestate. Due to the high content of methane (50-75% typically) in biogas, it is flammable, and produces a deep blue flame. It be used as a very good energy source thus reducing waste while generating energy.

Sludge Reuse in Agriculture

Sludge from most Wastewater treatment plants can be used as a potential manure application after stabilization. The commercial processes include anaerobic and/or aerobic stabilization followed by Co-composting.

High Rate Composting

Composting is a well applied treatment method for solid wastes. The use of an accelerated or high rate composting system can reduce the time of conversion and treatment plant foot print significantly compared to traditional composting technologies. To achieve optimum moisture levels and carbon-to-nitrogen (C: N) ratios, and ensure porosity and homogeneity, blending and process control are required.

Waste to Energy

Biogas plants can anaerobically produce energy from biodegradable waste while Waste to Energy (WTE) is an effective method of non-biodegradable solid waste volume reduction up to 80% while generating by-product energy. They can treat non-biodegradable waste as well and can use the gases formed for conversion of water to steam which in turn can rotate turbines to produce energy. Majority of such units utilize incineration for generating heat while gasification is a newer option. We can provide such systems with the help of expert partners.
